PSG have concentrated on building a strong French core in recent transfer windows, adding players like Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué, and Lucas Chevalier.

Now, they might have another French talent on their radar. TBR Football recently reported that Bayern Munich are looking to secure Michael Olise with a new contract before the season ends, hoping to ward off growing interest from other clubs.

The German side are said to be impressed by Olise’s progress and are planning a “huge pay rise” to keep him. Liverpool have been tracking the winger for some time, while Chelsea, PSG, and Barcelona have also shown interest, though none are expected to act next summer.

Heading into 2026, Olise is likely to move, if that were to happen, during the summer transfer window after the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Nonetheless, Fichajes reports that if PSG want to add another French player, they’ll need to pay €150 million for the Bayern Munich star.

“If PSG decides to submit an offer close to €150 million, it would not only make a statement of intent but also raise the competitive level in the market for forwards and wingers,” the outlet wrote. “Michael Olise, with his ability to link up play and take on defenders, could become a key element in Luis Enrique’s strategy to build a balanced and lethal attack.”

Despite interest in Olise, Recently, Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke reports that Bayern Munich have no plans to lose star man Michael Olise anytime soon amid interest in his services from PSG and other top clubs.

“I think it’s a real difficult deal to do for anybody, not just Manchester City, because Bayern Munich don’t want to lose to Olise,” O’Rourke said. “He’s under contract until 2029. There’s talk about preparing a new deal to try and ward off that interest and sort of end any speculation with a move away.

“I’m sure Bayern will be confident they can keep hold of Michael Olise. So yeah, it looks a real difficult deal to do for Man City and all Michael Olise’s other suitors as well, because he’s such a key man for Bayern now.

“Bayern won’t want to lose their top players and they’ll put a huge price tag on their side to scare off those potential interested clubs and as I said they’re preparing a new contract that they will hope that the Frenchman will sign to sort of end any speculation of a move away from Bavaria.”
