Almost nothing happened at Chelsea in the first two weeks of January, but things are kicking into gear now.
Facundo Buonanotte is set to have his loan cancelled, and the Blues are also being linked with a move for a new defender. There’s more to come too. Nizaar Kinsella is today backing up rumours from a couple of days ago that West Ham want to sign Filip Jorgensen this month.

It seems the backup goalkeeper is keen to go – he’s pushing for an exit in order to try and become Denmark’s number one goalkeeper as they try to sneak into the World Cup next summer through the playoffs.
The 24 year old has played even less this season than last, and clearly sees he’s never going to be number one.
Chelsea are said to be “blocking” any move as they want a player in place who can “push” number one Robert Sanchez. But as we’ve seen with the sporting directors before, they’re happy to sacrifice the teams’ interests on the field if a good offer comes in. West Ham, currently heading direct to the Championship, might just be desperate enough to do it.
The recall of Teddy Sharman-Lowe from Bolton is another interesting factor in all this – could he step up and become third choice, with Gaga Slonina promoted to second choice? If TSL isn’t out on a new loan soon, it would seem to be pointing in that direction.
Leaks from within Chelsea have started claiming that key players were getting frustrated by Enzo Maresca before he was removed as manager. It all sounds rather convenient for those in charge.
Facundo Buonanotte is one player who will be leaving Chelsea this month. His loan from Brighton is set to be terminated, and his new destination is already known.
