Blues land highly-rated United States international
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of United States international Caleb Wiley on a six-year deal.
The left-back joins the Blues from MLS side Atlanta United, with the option of a further year at Stamford Bridge.
He has been part of Atlanta's first-team squad since 2022 and made his senior debut for the US national team against Mexico last October.
Wiley is currently in Paris, where he is part of the US squad for the Olympic Games football tournament. It is expected he could spend next season on loan at Strasbourg, who are part of the same Blueco ownership group as Chelsea.
It is the latest move in another busy transfer window for the club, with new head coach Enzo Maresca already welcoming five new players into his squad this summer.
Chelsea have signed Tosin Adarabioyo, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Renato Veiga, while Brazilian talent Estevao Willian will join the club next year.
