Chelsea expected to reach compromise with Napoli for Badiashile deal | OneFootball

Chelsea are set to hold fresh talks with Napoli to finalise Benoit Badiashile’s proposed loan move to the Italian side.

The two teams have been in negotiations to reach an agreement, with Napoli keen to add the centre-back to their squad for the upcoming campaign. Napoli have proposed an initial loan fee of around €3m, with a €20m option to buy.

That fee falls short of Chelsea’s price tag, which has been set at a €30m package. However, Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has reported that a compromise is expected to be found for an overall figure of around €25m to €27m.

Badaishile has been deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge after struggling to nail down a regular role. The Frenchman has made only nine Premier League starts across the last two seasons and the 25-year-old is eager to move on.

Napoli are working to close a deal with the Serie A side having targeted a left-sided centre-back for new head coach Massimiliano Allegri.
