Chelsea have shortlisted Atalanta star Ademola Lookman as a potential option for the summer according to reports.
The Blues had a quiet January, much to the disappointment of supporters and are now facing a critical summer window.
A number of key areas in the squad need to be strengthened with the Blues looking at a striker, centre back, and left winger as priority.
Enzo Maresca is said to be involved in the planning process for the summer, which is already thought to be underway.
It’s arguably the most important window of the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership, and is one the club really can’t afford to get wrong.
The left wing position has become a priority due to Mykhailo Mudryk’s positive doping test and it’s unclear if or when the 24-year-old will play for the club again.

The Blues were linked with Alejandro Garnacho and Mathys Tel throughout January, whilst Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens is also thought to be a target.
However, TEAMtalk have reported the Blues have another target in their sights as they look to add another winger to their squad.
They report Chelsea have shortlisted Lookman as a potential option for the summer, although he’s not their number one target due to his age and wage demands.
TEAMtalk add the winger is expected to seek a new challenge at the end of the season and would be very interested in a return to London, with Arsenal also interested.
Lookman, who was linked to Chelsea last summer has impressed for the Serie A side and scored a hat-trick in last season’s Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.

The 27-year-old has been in impressive form again this season, notching 18 goals and seven assists in 31 appearances in all competitions, with Atalanta firmly in the title race just three points off the top.
Lookman is the level of player Chelsea should be looking at and he’s proven he can perform at the top level and in Europe, but it feels like he would be an unlikely signing at this stage.
