Chelsea’s team news for today’s game against Bournemouth is out, and some have noticed an absence almost as much as they’ve noticed the presence of others.
While Cole Palmer is in after a long absence, and Reece James and Wesley Fofana are rotated back in to start, others miss out.

Tosin left out of Chelsea squad for selection decision says Kieran Gill.
The whole team were pretty poor against Leeds on Wednesday night, but one player who got more blame than the others was Tosin Adarabioyo. His horror error led to the third opposition goal which effectively ended the game.
To compound things, after the game he was basically called out by his manager Enzo Maresca, who noted that despite being the most experienced player on the pitch for Chelsea, Tosin was also probably the worst. Today Tosin isn’t even on the bench, which has prompted a lot of predictable reactions from fans saying that the manager “isn’t messing around,” implying this decision is a direct reaction to Wednesday.
We know it’s not injury related, as Kieran Gill of the Daily Mail has confirmed. It’s just a “selection decision” from the Chelsea manager.
It’s not really a punishment or a message though – we’ve got five defenders starting, plus Benoit Badiashile, Jorrel Hato and Josh Acheampong on the bench. That’s more than enough cover, and all this confirms is that Tosin is behind Badiashile in the pecking order (which we knew already).
Cole Palmer returns today, and Enzo Maresca spoke before the game about what he thought the attacker needed to get back to his real level.
Chelsea’s team for today’s game had some interesting changes to it, with Palmer’s addition not the only change for the coach.
