WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this morning.
It has been reported that Hamano has signed on with the South West Londoners until summer 2029.
The 21-year-old Japanese international attacker joined Chelsea in the January 2023 transfer window. The youngster initially continued her development in a loan spell with Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club Hammarby IF. Since returning to Chelsea, Hamano has forced her way into the team. She has made 39 appearances for The Blues in all competitions in which she has scored nine goals.
Hamano is one of the brightest young talents to come out of Japan in recent years and she has a huge future ahead of her at Chelsea. The club have therefore moved to retain her services on a long-term basis.
After extending her contract with The Blues, Hamano said “Being able to work alongside amazing players and staff, and to give our all towards the same goal throughout a long season – that’s incredible. Of course, the fans are with us every step of the way, too. Through the fans, I’ve learned just how amazing it is to be part of Chelsea.”
Chelsea are next in action on Sunday when they travel to Aston Villa in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
