Chelsea went two points ahead of Manchester United in the title race with two games remaining each.

Niamh Charles marked her 100th appearance for the Blues by firing them ahead in the 13th minute.

Mackenzie Arnold pushed a Pernille Harder effort round the post but Harder did double the lead minutes after the restart.

Sophie Ingle headed in the third and Erin Cuthbert rounded off the scoring with a fine strike late on.

Arsenal went in four up at half-time against Everton, Caitlin Foord with a brace but their 4-1 win which put them three points clear in third place, would be marred by another serious injury.

Foord opened the scoring via the post and later had a tap-in when Stina Blackstenius saw her effort parried by Emily Ramsey.

Katie McCabe found the net from outside the box and Lotte Wubben-Moy buried a powerful header.

Everton had Aggie Beever-Jones dismissed early in the second half, after a bad challenge on Lia Walti who had to be stretchered off.

Katie Snoeijs gave the hosts a late consolation with a firm header.
