Chelsea have retaken their spot at the top of the Women’s Super League table after a mammoth 8-0 win over Leicester City on Saturday.

It was a truly dominant performance from the Blues but one player in particular really pulled out all the stops to ensure her side went home with a scoreline to brag about.

Guro Reiten was in astonishing form for the reigning WSL champions, tallying one goal and a whopping four assists.

Here’s a closer look at the Norwegian’s performance against Leicester, with statistics taken from FotMob.

How did Guro Reiten perform for Chelsea?

Often, when a scoreline is so generous, it’s hard to pinpoint one single player who stood out for the team.

Sam Kerr, Fran Kirby, Jessie Fleming, Niamh Charles and Bethany England all got themselves on the scoresheet to hammer home a demolition result on the road.

However, Reiten truly was the catalyst of Chelsea’s attack against the Foxes.

In total, the 28-year-old created seven goalscoring opportunities — including two big chances. She also completed 100 per cent of her attempted crosses and had a 100 per cent shot accuracy.

FotMob awarded her a Player of the Match rating of 9.7, the highest score of any other player from the latest round of WSL results.

Thanks to her creative display at the King Power Stadium, she now leads the season’s tally for most assists produced, with nine in nine matches so far.

Manchester United captain Katie Zelem is behind her in second with five assists.

What does this mean for Chelsea?

Chelsea are now top of the WSL table with 24 points, having won all but one of their nine matches played this season.

Their opening weekend loss against Liverpool looked to stun the reigning champions but they have bounced back in true fashion.

Without a single point dropped since their shock defeat, Emma Hayes and her Blues once again look like the side to beat this season.

They currently lead second-placed Man United by three points, but the Reds do have a game in-hand, as do Arsenal — who are third only by goal difference.

Chelsea’s next outing will see them face Real Madrid in the Champions League, followed by a clash with Reading on Sunday, December 11th in the WSL.

What else happened in the WSL?

Current title contenders Man United and Arsenal both also enjoyed victories at the weekend.

The Reds returned to Old Trafford to host Aston Villa and enjoyed a 5-0 victory in front of a record crowd.

Arsenal’s win was less convincing — a 1-0 edging over Everton — but an important three points sees them continue to put the pressure on both United and Chelsea.

Elsewhere, Reading earned a 1-0 win over Spurs, Liverpool snubbed West Ham 2-0 at home, and Manchester City notched three points thanks to a 3-1 win over Brighton.
