Chelsea midfielder and vice-captain, Enzo Fernandez, has found himself in hot waters at the club after his comments hinting at a possible move to Real Madrid in the future.

The Argentine international, during the international break, left the door open for a summer exit while suggesting that Madrid would be an appealing destination for him.

Enzo’s comments did not go down well at Chelsea, who have sanctioned him with a two-match ban – meaning he will miss the games against Port Vale and Manchester City.

Moises Caicedo comments on possible Real Madrid transfer

Now, another Chelsea midfielder, Moises Caicedo, has spoken out about a potential transfer to Real Madrid in the future.

While the Ecuadorian is not being actively pursued by Los Blancos currently, he has been on the club’s radars in the past.

And even though in a recent interview, Caicedo had shut the doors on any possible move to the Santiago Bernabeu, the 24-year-old enforcer has now left the door open on a future switch.

Indeed, during an interview with AS, when asked if he could imagine himself in the royal white jersey of Real Madrid, the midfielder replied:

“(He smiles) You never know in football, don’t you think? I have a contract with Chelsea now. The truth is, I haven’t honestly thought about another club, about leaving London, but well, in the end, you never know in football.”

Continuing, he added: “All I want is to enjoy myself. I have a contract and I want to keep playing as long as God allows. After that, we’ll see what happens.

“I have a contract, but we’ll see what the future holds. Let’s see what surprises await us.”

It must be noted that Caicedo is currently not an active target for Real Madrid. Nevertheless, the appeal of playing for an illustrious club like Los Blancos is clear.
