Paris Saint-Germain aim to strengthen its center-back position in the upcoming summer transfer window. Recent reports have linked the Parisians with various players, including Murillo from Nottingham Forest.
Last season at the City Ground, the Brazilian impressed greatly, playing a crucial role in ensuring the team avoided relegation from the Premier League.
The Brazilian is drawing interest from top European clubs and the Telegraph (h/t The Mirror) reports that Chelsea are keen on landing Murillo. He is a target for new Blues head coach Enzo Maresca, but is valued at around £70 million by the Forest hierarchy.
Murillo was signed from Corinthians for an initial £11.2 million last summer before being named as Forest’s player of the year after an impressive debut season in the Premier League. Chelsea are making inquiries via intermediaries about the 21-year-old’s availability.
In a recent interview, Murillo confirmed that he received a few offers from various clubs this summer to leave Nottingham Forest.
“I’ve received a few offers,” Murillo said. “Some official, others sounding out. I’ll take it up with my manager. They were clubs from England, Italy and Germany. If I stay at Nottingham, I’ll do my best. If I leave, I hope they respect my decision. I’m calm and analyzing it in the best way.”
