Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing a top class and experienced centre back for just £26m during this month’s transfer window.

As we are in the January transfer window now, there are always going to be reports like this floating around, and we are already hearing transfer rumours about alleged players that new head coach Liam Rosenior wants to sign.

EXCLUSIVE! The truth about the Chelsea FC project!

Of course, we always encourage a pinch of salt to be taken with all of these reports until we see some real traction behind them and all the big outlets start reporting it. But these stories are interesting to read all the same.

Rosenior took charge of his first training session as new Chelsea head coach yesterday, and maybe he will have been taking a look at any positions that he feel needs improving.

One area that I certainly feel needs improving is at the back. I believe Chelsea need to bring in a more confident, dominant, and experienced centre back, one who really elevates what we have already.

Could Kim Min-Jae be that guy?

Chelsea are keen to sign Bayern Munich centre back Kim Min-Jae, at least that is according to a recent report from Spain, which claims Chelsea are interested in the 29-year-old former Napoli man.

The report has revealed that Rosenior believes strengthening the backline is key this month and that the Bayern Munich ace would be the ideal player to bring in.

He would be cheap apparently

Per the report, the South Korean international is available for a fee of around €30m, which is about £26m, and that is also the price the Blues would be willing to pay apparently.

As I say, pinch of salt with all these reports for now.
