Chelsea are leading the race to sign PSG striker Gonçalo Ramos, according to reports.

The West Londoners want to bring a centre-forward in the summer amid doubts over Liam Delap’s future at Stamford Bridge.

Delap signed from Ipswich Town last summer but has struggled to make his mark, making only nine Premier League starts and scoring once.

Chelsea are prepared to let Delap leave this summer, either on loan or permanently if a suitable offer arrives. Ramos has been identified as a potential replacement, according to Livescore, with the Portugal international expected to leave PSG.

Ramos has struggled for regular game time at PSG and is keen to play more minutes. The  24-year-old has started 10 league games this season and has not started more than 16 Ligue 1 games in any of his three seasons at the Parc des Princes.

Despite that limited involvement, he has a good goalscoring record. Ramos has averaged a goal every 130 minutes in Ligue 1 since signing for PSG. The Parisians are understood to value Ramos at around €70m (£61m).
