New boss eyes continual progress despite big win
Liam Rosenior has admitted he was "not happy" with Chelsea’s final ten minutes against Crystal Palace — despite his side running out eventual 3-1 winners at Selhurst Park.
Chelsea made it four wins in five games under Rosenior as they beat ten-man Palace on Sunday, with Adam Wharton sent off for a second yellow card late on.
Estevao, Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez scored the goals for Chelsea before Chris Richards netted a late consolation for the Eagles in the 88th minute.
After the game, Rosenior reflected on his side’s impressive performance but also lamented the way they ended the match.
“There's still things that we really need to correct quickly,” Rosenior said.
“I think it's a foul [in the lead-up to] the [Chris Richards] goal that we conceded but it's another goal from a set play.
“It was not happy with our last 10 minutes. I felt we should have gone on to dominate the game further in that moment.”
Rosenior added: “I'm not thinking about being relieved or how I'm feeling. I'm just focused on the job. That's really, really important. We've got another huge game on Wednesday [against Napoli].”
