Andrey Santos has spoken ahead of a big week’s build up to the Premier League game against Man City on Sunday afternoon.

Chelsea stormed into the FA Cup semi final with a big win over Port Vale at the weekend, and midfielder Andrey Santos was really pleased with how his team performed in the 7-0 win.

“I’m very happy with our performance, it was a big win and a good performance. Now we have to move on and recover well, because next week we have another big game,” Santos said in quotes on the club’s official website.

“Now we have to work hard because next week we have a very important home game against Manchester City, and we will have to focus on ourselves and do our job. That is the most important thing for us.

Santos needs to keep up run of games to secure World Cup place

Santos has played more and more as the season has gone on, and needs that to continue so he can secure his place with Brazil this summer.

“An ambition for many players is to be in the World Cup with their national team – it’s the same for me. But I know that first I have to work very hard here at Chelsea to help us achieve our targets.”
