Chelsea must be careful to not ignore the other position they need to upgrade in this summer other than goalkeeper and attack.
Chelsea beat Los Angeles FC 2-0 in their Club World Cup opening group game on Monday night in what was a very strange and subdued atmosphere in front of just 22,000 people in a huge stadium.
It was far from vintage Chelsea but in the end they just got the job done and three points on the board to set them up for a good starts.
The goals came from a lovely Nicolas Jackson assist to Pedro Neto to finish in the first half. And then new signing Liam Delap also provided a superb assist for Enzo Fernandez to run into the box and tap in to score.

New attackers is pretty much all we are hearing about linked with Chelsea right now.
The Blues continue to be linked with a host of new potential attacker names to sign and we are seeing loads of different profiles and options that they are looking at.
At this stage, it is unclear who they might end up getting or pushing for the most in a number of positions, but one name is coming up a lot this week now.
It’s imperative that Chelsea still sign a new more dominant and composed centre back to come in and improve what they have in the back line this summer as well as a new goalkeeper and attackers.
I actually think this is one of the most important positions that they need to upgrade in and sign some proven and quality experience in.
