Chelsea not keen on loaning Gittens to Roma | OneFootball

Roma is looking for a left winger to complete their transfer campaign.

Oosterwolde is on the way, meaning Gian Piero Gasperini needs a player to ensure he has a solid squad for the season.

The Grugliasco-born coach was clear about the winger in a press conference: “Only if he can be an added value, otherwise, no. I’m not going to burden myself with players just for the sake of it.”

These words are reminiscent of last season. Among the players the club is interested in is Jamie Gittens.

The 2004-born player finished the season at Chelsea with 27 appearances, one goal, and five assists. It was a difficult year in which he failed to live up to his promises.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens isn’t out of Chelsea’s technical plans. The Blues aren’t considering loan offers for the 2004-born player.

The English club, however, could seriously consider loan offers with a guaranteed obligation to buy or a permanent deal. If Roma want to make a move, they’ll have to respect Chelsea’s demands.

Gasperini is awaiting further developments, as he made clear in the press conference on the eve of the match against Fiorentina.
