You wont often hear the word ‘injury’ associated with ‘good news’ but in this instance, we can simply just fear not, everything is good.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea set to make contact to sign Manchester United star in the January window!!

In the latest round of international matches, Estevao Willian bagged a lovely goal for Brazil and then proceeded to receive a rave review from former Chelsea manager now Brazil’s boss, Carlo Ancelotti.

And pending new Chelsea striker Emanuel Emegha, who is still playing for Strasbourg, made his senior debut for the Netherlands national side after some very good form of late.

They both came through the game without injury, thankfully, but there has been other Chelsea players in action over the weekend too, including Jamie Gittens, who was out representing England at U21 level.

England U21’s beat Republic of Ireland U21s 2-0 and actually, it was another Chelsea player, Tyrique George who bagged the second goal for England.

But Gittens started the game on the wing, but unfortunately came off limping.

However, it is good news.

The Sun are saying that Gittens has reported no issues with the knock this morning.

He will travel with the squad for Tuesday’s game in Slovakia.

Great news

Gittens isn’t exactly a regular starter for Chelsea at the moment but it’s very good news that he’s avoided an injury here despite it seeming like he had got one.

The young winger is a developing player and is looking to try and break into the Chelsea team, whilst competing with Alejandro Garnacho for that left wing position right now.

Any sustained periods on the side lines with an injury would stunt this and set him back, so let’s hope he can come through the international break in good shape.
