There’s no denying that Moises Caicedo’s form has dropped off recently. The two most painful goals we’ve conceded recently, the first against Everton and the only against Newcastle, have seen a pass splitting our whole team down the middle, with the midfielder nowhere to be seen.
You just wouldn’t have seen that lack of pressure on the ball 6 months ago when he was at his best. But right now the quantity of games has caught up with him, and he’s struggling.

Moises Caicedo tops the list of interceptions.
It’s a sign of how good he was earlier this season that he’s still top of some key categories. Squawka note he’s top of the list in the league for interceptions, with 52. He’s got the most of any player in the league since he came to Chelsea almost 3 seasons ago.
What we desperately need is a rest for the midfielder, but he’s about to fly to South America to play for Ecuador. Who knows what shape he will return in.
Chelsea have one thing to look forward to – more Estevao. There’s a great story out there today about how the Blues managed to sign him.
The BBC are saying that Liam Rosenior’s job is safe for the simple reason that he’s being included in transfer talks about the summer ahead.
