The No.1 jersey has not been truly seized by Robert Sanchez. The Spaniard has been unconvincing once again in recent weeks, giving hope to Filip Jorgensen. It is the latter who is expected to start when Chelsea travel to face Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
Whilst it was Sanchez who started in the FA Cup win over Wrexham on Saturday, L’Équipe understands that Liam Rosenior will opt for a change between the sticks on Wednesday. The former RC Strasbourg Alsace head coach will be without Levi Colwill, Estevao, and Jamie Gittens for the trip to France. Dário Essugo, meanwhile, is not in Chelsea’s Champions League squad.
Joao Pedro is expected to start up front, with Pedro Neto on the left and Cole Palmer on the right.
