Chelsea recall Mamadou Sarr after ending Strasbourg loan

Chelsea have recalled Mamadou Sarr from his loan at Strasbourg. L'Équipe reports the Blues have chosen to cut short the centre-back's stint.

Sarr captained Strasbourg against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday, then left Alsace on Monday as planned.

The Senegalese defender had joined the Alsatian club at the start of the season on loan from Chelsea, and the clubs share the same owner.

He is wanted by Liam Rosenior, Strasbourg’s former coach who is now in charge at Chelsea.

Sarr now returns to England following the early termination of his loan.
