Premier League giants Chelsea have seen a transfer proposal worth a fee in the region of €15 million knocked back by Spanish 2nd division outfit Deportivo La Coruña.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Yeremay Hernández as the subject of the bid at hand.
Yeremay, for those not familiar with his name, is a 22-year-old attacker, who has spent the campaign to date establishing himself as a breakout star in Spain’s 2nd tier.
Across 19 Segunda appearances to date, the Spanish youth international, who chiefly operates on the left flank, has racked up eight goals and three assists.
Yeremay has turned heads with not only his production in the final third, but also his stellar dribbling and drive along the wing.
Of the clubs named as admirers of the youngster’s talents, the aforementioned Chelsea have long been pushed as the most keen on tying up a deal for Yeremay.
So much so that the Blues recently went as far as to table a €15 million offer for his signature.
As per Fabrizio Romano, however, as much was rejected by Deportivo, who have made the call to keep hold of their crown jewel for the remainder of the campaign.
