The win continues Chelsea’s hoodoo over Leeds in the competition. The rivalry between the sides was built during regular cup clashes in the sixties and seventies, culminating in two unforgettable FA Cup final games in 1970.

After a thrilling first final at Wembley ended 2-2, Chelsea won 2-1 after extra-time in a replay held at Old Trafford. The clash is best remembered for the brutality of the games, as both sides battled it out for cup success.

Chelsea’s win in the 2025-26 semi-finals means the Blues have now progressed past Leeds in all seven FA Cup ties between the teams.
