Emanuel Emegha made his Netherlands debut over this international break, getting two appearances for the national team as they looked to qualify for the World Cup.
He came off the bench against Poland and Lithuania as his country booked their place at the tournament next summer. He will hope to continue his good form for Strasbourg and earn a more permanent role for the national team by then.

Speaking to the media over this break, the forward also discussed his move from Sturm Graz to Strasbourg and subsequently to Chelsea, whom he will join in the summer after the World Cup.
“To be honest, I didn’t even know where that [Strasbourg] was. I thought it was in Germany, but it turned out to be in France. Well, I think everyone knows Strasbourg now.
“Strasbourg really had a plan for young players like me. Well, that’s worked out. I was the first player they started this process with, and next season I’m going to Chelsea. So, it went exactly as I’d hoped.”
To be fair to Emegha, it is right on the French – German border, and it sounds German…
