Chelsea are looking to bring in Strasbourg striker Emmanuel Emegha as they prepare for what could be a very busy summer.
The Blues have had difficulty scoring goals this season, impacting their push for a Champions League spot.
Manager Enzo Maresca is keen to fix the issue and wants a reliable number nine to compete with Nicolas Jackson.
Chelsea have been linked with several attacking options, including Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres and Liam Delap. They are also monitoring Emegha.
Foot Mercato claims Chelsea have shown strong interest in signing the Dutch striker this summer.
Emegha joined Strasbourg from Sturm Graz in a deal worth around €13 million in 2023.
His current market value is €20m, according to transfermarkt. The tall forward has bagged 14 goals and three assists in all competitions this season.
Emegha has been key for Strasbourg as they try to secure a place in next season’s Champions League.
Talks have already taken place between Chelsea and the player over a possible long-term contract.
Strasbourg and Chelsea share the same ownership, which has helped in previous dealings between the two clubs. Negotiations should be straightforward.
Emegha is an affordable option to enhance Chelsea’s attacking rebuild under Maresca. They want a striker who can score goals and fit into the long-term plan at Stamford Bridge.
If things go as planned, he could be one of the first summer signings.
