Chelsea target Tylel Tati set to remain in Nantes

Nantes centre-back Tylel Tati (18) will see out the remainder of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 campaign with his formative side amid a late push from Chelsea to secure his signing, according to L’Equipe. After missing out on signing Liverpool-bound Jérémy Jacquet from Rennes, the Blues were reportedly keen to sign another promising Ligue 1 centre-back in Tati.

The 18-year-old would have taken the usual BlueCo pathway, which includes a loan to Strasbourg before eventually joining Chelsea FC, like Mamadou Sarr. The Premier League side reportedly submitted a verbal €30m bid to Nantes for Tati, but the latter has opted to stay with Les Canaris and help his boyhood club fending off a Ligue 2 relegation.
