Chelsea ‘to consider’ Filipe Luís among head coach candidates | OneFootball

Chelsea are drawing up a list of five candidates to become head coach, with Filipe Luís among those under consideration.

According to the BBC, the club are tracking Xabi Alonso, Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva, Oliver Glasner and Filipe Luís. The Premier League side dismissed Enzo Maresca, appointed Liam Rosenior, then also let him go. Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano says the former Flamengo boss is ready for a new chapter in Europe, though licence formalities still need to be completed.

As a left-back, the Brazilian spent one season in the Premier League and won the league title and the League Cup.

His Flamengo side also came from behind to beat Chelsea at the 2025 Club World Cup.

Flamengo, now led by Leonardo Jardim, have just beaten Grêmio. They face Vitória on Thursday 14 at 21:30 Brasília time at Barradão in the second leg of the fifth phase of the Copa do Brasil.
