CaughtOffside reports that Chelsea have entered the race to sign João Gomes from Wolverhampton as the Premier League season nears its conclusion.
The London club now face competition from Manchester United and Tottenham for the midfielder.
Outside England, Atlético de Madrid and Napoli are also tracking the ex-Flamengo player. He is at Wolverhampton, who are virtually relegated to the second tier.
Flamengo hold 10% of any future sale. Wolverhampton are demanding 60 million pounds, roughly R$ 408 million at the current rate.
If a deal is struck at that figure, Flamengo would receive 6 million pounds, about R$ 40.8 million. No offers have been lodged yet.
Meanwhile, Flamengo visit Cusco on Wednesday 08 in the Copa Libertadores first round, kick-off 21:30 Brasília time, away from home.
