Previewing Chelsea's Carabao Cup tie against Luton Town.
Xabi Alonso has named his Chelsea side to face Luton Town at Stamford Bridge on August 27.
Chelsea host the League One side in west London for the Carabao Cup second round tie after the draw was made earlier this month.
The Blues are in the earlier, regionalised round after failing to qualify for European football this season. That was the consequence of a 10th-place finish in 2025-26.
Thursday's winner will be rewarded with a third-round tie against Leeds United after Wednesday's draw, with ties to be played in early September.
Chelsea head into Thursday's tie following a 3-2 win over Fulham on Monday night, beginning their Premier League campaign in winning fashion thanks to goals from attacking trio, Joao Pedro, Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer.
They host Luton, who have made an unbeaten start to their League One campaign, and Alonso has made several changes to the side that beat Fulham.
Marco Palestra and Moises Caicedo remain absent after their fitness absences against Fulham. Meanwhile, Mike Penders makes his full debut for Chelsea, coming in for Robert Sanchez in goal.
Enzo Fernandez is not in the squad, but Reece James, Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers all start for the Blues.
Danny Welbeck makes his debut, as does Valentin Barco.
Reece James captains the side, with Peo Chavarria and Estevao Willian starting.
