Chelsea were apparently close to moving out a first team goalkeeper in the summer but they only wanted a sale.

According to the report, the club in question only wanted to loan him and Chelsea only wanted to sell him, and it’s all been recorded and reported in a documentary by club officials apparently.

Am I talking about Robert Sanchez? Nope, I am speaking about the other first team goalkeeper Chelsea have right now, Filip Jorgensen.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea in talks with Red Bull, Oracle, and a third company over new Front of Shirt Sponsors!!

It was highly documented that Chelsea tried to sign Mike Maignan in the summer window. And if they were going to sign him, they were obviously going to have to move one of their current goalkeepers out, and it’s becoming clear that they tried to move Jorgensen out.

Allegedly Chelsea are now not looking to buy Maignan or any other goalkeeper any time soon and they are happy with the goalkeepers they have. If that’s true, then why did they want to sell Jorgensen in the summer and buy Maignan? Hmmm, doesn’t wash with me, fellas.

Blues tried to sell Jorgensen

As cited by PSV Fans, PSV made an attempt last summer to loan goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen from Chelsea. This is apparently  evident from the documentary Ever Change a Winning Team, in which the transfer summer of the Eindhoven team is highlighted.

PSV held talks with the Londoners, and Jørgensen himself was open to a transfer to Eindhoven. However, Chelsea did not want to cooperate with a loan transfer, so the deal went off the track.

Says everything

Chelsea are clearly NOT happy with their current goalkeepers and they’re just trying to keep a lid on it all for now. I’ll be shocked if they don’t sign a new first team goalkeeper in the winter or the next summer window.
