Chelsea travel to Anfield on Saturday, aiming to avoid a historic seventh consecutive league defeat.

The Blues occupy ninth place and are mathematically out of the race for the top five. Interim manager Calum McFarlane wants to build confidence before next weekend’s FA Cup final. Chelsea have failed to win since early March during a disastrous run of form. However, they remain within four points of sixth-placed Bournemouth in the standings.

The interim boss has urged his players to find form before heading to Wembley.
