Chelsea make the trip to Wolves in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup this evening.
After winning the Europa Conference League and Club World Cup under Enzo Maresca, the Blues are bidding to reach the latter stages of the EFL Cup this season.
Chelsea travel to a Wolves side struggling in the Premier League. The hosts are winless in nine games, with Vitor Pereira’s position under threat. This competition has offered Wolves some solace, after victories over West Ham and Everton to reach this stage.
Enzo Maresca is set to welcome Liam Delap back into the squad to face Wolves. The forward has been out since August due to a hamstring injury but Maresca has confirmed Delap is ‘available’ after training this week. The 22-year-old’s return is a big boost to Chelsea, with fellow forward Joao Pedro struggling for goals in recent weeks.
In terms of absences, Levi Colwill and Dario Essugo are long-term issues, while no timeframe has been put on Cole Palmer’s return from a groin issue. Benoit Badiashile is also in the treatment room, and Mykhaylo Mudryk remains indefinitely suspended.
Marc Guiu is eligible to play despite representing Sunderland in earlier rounds. It follows a rule change made this season.
Chelsea possible starting XI: Jorgensen; Gusto, Fofana, Chalobah, Hato; Lavia, Santos; Gittens, Estevao, Garnacho; Guiu.
Wolves host Chelsea in the the Carabao Cup’s fourth round on Sunday 29th October 2025. Kick-off at Stamford Bridge is 19:45 BST.
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports+ for UK viewers. Sky Sports subscribers can stream the action online via the Sky Sports website and app, or via Sky Go
