Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho (21) says he has “no regrets” about leaving Manchester United last summer, insisting his move to Stamford Bridge came at the right time in his career, as reported by Sky Sports.
Garnacho joined Chelsea in a £40m deal in August after falling out of favour under new United boss Ruben Amorim. The 21-year-old had pushed for an exit as it became clear he was no longer part of the club’s long-term plans, bringing an abrupt end to his time at Old Trafford.
Asked if he regretted how it all unfolded, Garnacho was blunt. “No,” he said. When pressed on whether he felt sad about the way his United spell ended, he gave the same answer: “No.”
The Argentina international said he simply felt it was the right moment to move on. “Sometimes in life you have to change things to take a step forward or improve as a player,” he said. “I think it was the right moment, also the right club. So it was an easy decision.”
Garnacho has settled quickly at Chelsea and says he is focused only on his future in London rather than what he left behind.
