Chelsea’s interest in a striker who’s bagged 114 goals in his career so far has been allegedly ‘confirmed’ for January.
And not only that, they could land him on the cheap due to his current contractual situation at his club.
I am of course talking about Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who ‘will leave’ now in January without any doubts. That is at least according to Journalist Ciro Venerato, who has updates out today.
The Italian reporter has talked about Manchester United and Chelsea interest on Rai’s La Nuova DS. Tutto Juve have relayed his comments.
He claims the striker will leave in January because Juventus want to avoid losing him for free and also want to save on his last six months of salary, which totals around €12m.
“Between Juve and Vlahović, we’ve reached the end credits, despite the usual denials. He’ll leave in January, no matter what,” he said.
“The management doesn’t intend to lose him on a free transfer. They’d also like to save the €6m net, €12m gross with taxes, of the last few months.”
When discussing the suitors, Venerato says Manchester United and Chelsea are interested: “Rumours of Chelsea and United’s interest are confirmed, but AC Milan’s latest arrival can’t be ruled out.”

Chelsea are often linked with Vlahovic over recent seasons so it’s an interesting rumour to read about, especially due to the face they currently seem short up top given Liam Delap’s injury and the fact Joao Pedro is not looking overly comfortable playing as a lone 9 and will be better used as a 10 or a second striker.
We have predicted our starting Xl for tonight’s Champions League match against Benfica at Stamford Bridge, where we will see the return of club legend Jose Mourinho!
Mourinho was quoted as saying that he believes in Chelsea’s project under this ownership and that they are ‘back on track’ right now.
