We’re now into the final seven days of the summer transfer window, and Manchester United could yet sanction new arrivals through the door while showing some familiar faces out of it.

It’s now being widely reported that INEOS chiefs are doing their utmost to hash out an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for Manuel Ugarte, who could arrive at Old Trafford in a loan-with-obligation deal.

On the other hand, the likes of Scott McTominay, Hannibal Mejbri, Christian Eriksen and Jadon Sancho all face uncertain futures, the latter of which is attracting interest from one of United’s top Premier League rivals.

Indeed, Chelsea are believed to be keen admirers of the 24-year-old attacker. According to The Guardian, they have ‘not ruled out’ an ‘opportunistic’ move for him before the window slams shut next Friday.

Sancho garnering late interest from two European clubs

Juventus have also established their interest in Sancho, though his £250,000k per week wages are proving to be a significant stumbling block in negotiations between the clubs. Another loan would, of course, see United contribute to the fee, but such a transfer wouldn’t benefit them this time around when they’re looking to recuperate funds.

From Erik ten Hag’s point of view, he won’t be fazed whether the former Borussia Dortmund man stays or departs next week. Sancho hasn’t been a regular starter in recent seasons as it is, but the emergence of Amad Diallo and the prospect of Joshua Zirkzee being utilised across the frontline means he has even less chance of cementing a place in the 11.
