Chelsea will only sign Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons if two first team forwards leave before the end of the window according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

The Blues have been busy this summer and have made four summer signings in Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.

Chelsea aren’t done there and are also looking to finalise deals for both Simons and Garnacho before the end of the window.

Chelsea need to sell before signing Simons and Garnacho

It’s been reported the Blues want as many as eight or nine attacking options in the squad to rotate between next season.

Chelsea have been locked in negotiations with RB Leipzig for a number of weeks, but have yet to make an offer for Simons.

Leipzig are said to want to a total package of £60m, whilst Chelsea are hopeful of agreeing a deal worth around £50m for Simons.

In regards to Garnacho, the Blues have already agreed personal terms with the Argentine winger, and they are in discussions with Manchester United over a fee.

United are said to want £50m, whilst Chelsea are believed to value the 21-year-old at closer to £30m, and Solhekol has provided an update.

“Chelsea will only sign Alejandro Garnacho AND Xavi Simons if at least two first-team forwards leave before the window closes,” he told Sky Sports.

“Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson and Tyrique George could all move and incomings are exit dependent.

“If all three players leave, Chelsea would be in a strong position to sign both Garnacho and Simons.

“If only one of those three players leaves, Chelsea may sign just one more forward – or none at all.

“Chelsea value Garnacho at about £30m.”

Bayern Munich in talks with Nkunku

The most likely to leave appears to be Christopher Nkunku, and Bayern Munich have opened talks with Chelsea over a move for the France international.

Chelsea are said to want €40m plus add ons for Nkunku, although Bayern are said to prefer a loan deal with an option to buy.

Nkunku has already agreed personal terms with the German champions, and the Blues will be hoping a deal can be concluded next week.
