A minor anthem mix-up occurred before Portugal’s World Cup warm-up against Chile at the Estádio Nacional do Jamor on Saturday.

Not qualified for the World Cup, Chile still drew several hundred supporters on Lisbon’s western edge. According to L'Équipe, their anthem was cut off before it finished.

As the Chile players continued a cappella, the stadium speakers launched the opening notes of the Portuguese anthem.

Both teams then sang at the same time to different tunes, creating an odd scene.

After this test, Portugal face Nigeria on 10 June before flying to the United States.
