When strong convictions come together, great things happen. That is how Chivas and Fundación Jorge Vergara are joining Club Sporting Cristal and Fundación Semillero de Campeones to bring the Pásala program to the girls, boys and teenagers of Cantagallo in Lima, Peru.

Pásala is an initiative that supports children and young people from different neighborhoods in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area by providing them with safe spaces for recreation and development through soccer, while also involving their families. Its reach has not been limited to Mexican soil, as it has also benefited young people in different countries across the Americas.

Upon its arrival in Peru, Fundación Jorge Vergara, in collaboration with Fundación Semillero de Campeones, aims to benefit more than 100 girls, boys and teenagers from Cantagallo and involve more than 50 families in an initiative focused on promoting a culture of peace, rebuilding community ties and strengthening the participants’ social and emotional development.

“The social mission of Grupo Omnilife-Chivas and Fundación Jorge Vergara is fully Latin American. Peru is a strategic country where children face common challenges that can be addressed by joining forces with an exemplary institution like Sporting Cristal and Fundación Semillero de Campeones. In fact, we already have a previous success story in this country, in the community of Comas in 2025,” said Karina Vázquez, Executive Director of Fundación Jorge Vergara.

In Cantagallo, each Pásala training session will be led by a duo made up of a sports coach and a psychology professional. In this way, learning soccer will be complemented by the development of skills that help participants learn to work as a team, make decisions and resolve conflicts peacefully.

This partnership continues the work of Fundación Jorge Vergara in Peru. In 2025, through Pásala, it supported 97 girls, boys and teenagers in Comas. Now, together with Sporting Cristal and Fundación Semillero de Campeones, the program seeks to open new opportunities for the children and teenagers of Cantagallo, with an experience that goes beyond the soccer field.
