Chivas Femenil knew how to navigate a cagey match to secure their third straight win, defeating FC Juárez 1-0 on Matchday 10 of the Apertura 2026. With the victory, they returned to winning ways at home and secured second place in Group B with 21 points.

Both teams came into the match looking for a win, as both the Tapatías and the border side were looking to secure their respective playoff spots before the October FIFA international break. This resulted in a very tight game, with possession changing hands in midfield and few chances in either penalty area.

The Rebaño Sagrado’s sharpness tipped the balance in the second half, when the match appeared destined to end goalless, thanks to Samantha López’s constant alertness and, of course, the irreplaceable Blanca Félix, who denied every attempt from the border side.

Following the international break, during which Chivas Femenil will not have any Liga Femenil action, the Rojiblanco side will host Necaxa on Tuesday, October 20, at 9 PM, on Matchday 12 of AP26.

The Goal

- ‘Sam’ alert and right on time! In the 66th minute, following a set-piece play, Samantha López anticipated the goalkeeper’s attempt to play the ball out, intercepted it and fired a left-footed shot into the back of the net.

Dangerous Chances

- In the 1st minute, Natalia Mauleón applied pressure, won the ball back in the opposition box and fired a left-footed shot toward the near post, which went just centimeters wide.

- In the 25th minute, ‘Licha’ Cervantes hit a first-time shot from inside the box that went just wide of the far post.

- In the 35th minute, 'Caro' Jaramillo she went for the top corner from a free kick, but her effort sailed over the crossbar.

- In the 55th minute, the ‘Depredadora’ controlled the ball with her chest outside the box before attempting a volley that ended up in Alvarado’s hands.
