The excitement surrounding Chivas Femenil's commanding Matchday 1 victory in the Apertura 2026 is still very much alive. And what better way to begin the week than with the feeling that another memorable season could be on the horizon for the Rojiblancas?
The thrilling win over Querétaro meant more than just three points. Along the way, Guadalajara achieved another historic milestone in Liga MX Femenil. Thanks to the victory at Estadio AKRON, Chivas reached 600 points in league competition, becoming the fourth club in Liga MX Femenil history to accomplish the feat.
The milestone was achieved after 293 regular-season matches, giving the Rojiblancas an average of just over two points per game. That consistency has helped fuel achievements such as the club's remarkable streak of 12 consecutive playoff appearances.
The victory also carried another significant milestone: it marked Antonio Contreras' 100th point as head coach of Chivas Femenil. The Spanish manager has now begun his fourth tournament in charge, steadily improving the team's points total each season. During the Clausura 2026 regular season, his side suffered just one defeat.
With another winning start, Chivas Femenil once again looks ready to compete at the highest level in Liga MX Femenil.
