As the weeks go by, Chivas Femenil continues to play better and better. This afternoon at Estadio AKRON, Guadalajara dominated Atlético de San Luis from start to finish, earning a 3-1 victory and claiming another three points in the Apertura 2026. Antonio Contreras' team now has 9 points, keeping them at the top of the Liga Femenil.

Matchday 3 was an opportunity for Guadalajara to reaffirm the strong performances it has delivered throughout the tournament, and it did just that. The Rojiblancas controlled the tempo, possession and created several chances in attack, making the final score seem somewhat short compared to the number of clear shots they generated on goal.

The team also reaffirmed the excellent form of its attackers Alicia Cervantes, Jasmine Casarez and Joseline Montoya, who all found the scoresheet for the second consecutive matchday. At the same time, Guadalajara showed the depth of its squad, as the Rojiblanco manager was able to close out the match with fresh legs without ever giving up its attacking approach.

Pachuca now awaits Chivas Femenil, as both teams will meet in Matchday 4 of the AP26. The match is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, at 4 PM at Estadio Hidalgo.

The Goals

- The 'Depredadora' made her presence felt! In the 8th minute, Cervantes timed her run inside the box, won her position and headed home a cross from 'Caro' Jaramillo.

- In the 23rd minute, the Potosinas leveled the score through Enyerliannis Higuera after an error during Guadalajara's buildup.

- The 'Queen' is ON FIRE! In the 37th minute, 'Gaby' Valenzuela spotted Jasmine inside the box and delivered a perfectly weighted cross, allowing Casarez to finish and restore the Rojiblancas' lead.

- 'Flash' joined the party! Just 36 seconds into the second half, Joseline Montoya raced down the wing, entered the box and fired a right-footed shot into the top corner for an absolute golazo.

The Chances

- In the 14th minute, Jaramillo unleashed her left foot looking for the top corner, but couldn't get enough accuracy on the shot.- 'Jas' hit the post! In the 19th minute, Casarez received the ball inside the box and, after taking two touches, fired a right-footed shot across goal that just missed the post, drawing a collective gasp from the crowd.- In the 33rd minute, 'Licha' turned at the top of the box and, without hesitation, unleashed a powerful shot that the goalkeeper could barely keep out.- In the 53rd minute, 'Jas' came inches away from scoring her second of the match. She went one-on-one with the goalkeeper and chipped the ball over her, but the attempt went just wide.- Casarez came close again! In the 60th minute, Mauleón won the ball during San Luis' buildup and played it to 'Jas', who tried her luck first time but sent the ball over the crossbar.- In the 66th minute, Valenzuela came close to making it four, striking a volley inside the box that flirted with the top corner but sailed just over the crossbar.- In the 78th minute, Denise played the ball to the left, where Pelayo was waiting. Mayra controlled and fired, but a defensive slide prevented the fourth goal.
