Chivas fought back from two goals down to draw away to Altético San Luis.

Scorers: Berterame 21′, Juárez 43′; Beltrán 48′, Pérez 69′

Despite a bright start, Chivas found themselves behind in the 20th minute. San Luis striker Germán Berterame reacted quickest to poke the ball home after some good work by Jhon Murillo.

The status quo resumed, as Los Rojiblancos moved the ball around well, creating multiple chances but on his return to the starting line-up, striker José Juan Macías struggled to find the target.

San Luis looked dangerous on the break throughout the encounter and, against the run of play, they doubled their advantage just before halftime.

A routine cross into the box after a short corner was finished by Ramón Juárez. Unmarked, the defender was allowed to attack the ball, planting his header into the ground and beyond the diving Raúl Gudiño.

Marcelo Michel Leaño’s men reacted quickly after the break, halving the deficit through Fernando Beltrán. The Mexican midfielder capitalised on a slip in the middle of the park before unleashing a powerful shot into the bottom left corner.

As Chivas pushed for an equaliser, the hosts threatened on the break and but for a close offside call could’ve put the game to bed.

The Flock made the most of their good fortunes as they found the goal to draw them level in the 69th minute. This time it was Sebastián Pérez’s turn to catch Marcelo Barovero out with a long-range effort.

Both sides had chances to win the game but Chivas looked most threatening. In the end though, neither could score a settled for a share of the spoils.
