It was a busy morning for Chivas' youth teams, who played Matchday 9 of the 2025 Apertura against their counterparts from the Diablos Rojos del Toluca. The highlight was undoubtedly the performance of the Rebaño Under-21s, as Pepe Meléndez's side won by the narrowest of margins and are now just 3 points off third place overall.

U21
The Rebaño Sagrado secured an important victory against a Diablos side that put up a lot of resistance. Guadalajara was the better team and knew how to manage the game to avoid conceding a goal, until early in the second half when they scored from a set piece that allowed them to take all 3 points on Matchday 9.
The winning goal came in the 49th minute from Leonardo Torres, in a play that started on the right wing and after a cross to the far post, Torres appeared and finished to make it 1-0. After this great result, Chivas Under-21 reached 14 points in the 2025 Apertura.

U-19
In a very strange match, Guadalajara Under-19 failed to score against the Diablos Rojos, losing 3-6 to the Escarlatas. It was definitely not the best defensive performance by the Rojiblancos, who will have to work on those details before hosting Necaxa next Tuesday.
The goals for the Rebaño Sagrado were scored by Esteban Mendoza and a brace from José Baldemar Elenes, while Eder Cruz, Geovani González, Jared Figueroa, Diego Mota, Angel Chávez, and Cedric Sánchez scored for the Choriceros.
