Chivas will continue its preparation process for the 2026 Clausura by participating in the Copa Pacífica Centenario Universidad de U de G, celebrated on October 12, 2025.

This competition will bring together four traditional Mexican soccer institutions: Chivas, Atlas, Leones Negros, and Monterrey, and will represent a valuable opportunity for the Rebaño Sagrado to get some playing time under their belts ahead of the start of the new soccer year.

The action for Chivas will begin on Saturday, January 3, when they face Atlas in the Clásico Tapatío at 8:45 p.m., in what will be their first match in the Copa Pacífica Centenario and a demanding test in the team's preparation process.

On Sunday, January 4, the final day of the tournament will take place, including the third-place match at 4:00 p.m. and the Grand Final at 6:30 p.m., which will determine the final standings of the competition.

In addition, as part of the tournament program, the Jalisco Women's Youth Cup Final between Tlajomulco and El Salto will be played that same day at 1:30 p.m., as well as the Jalisco Men's Youth Cup Final between Amatitán and Zapopan at 2:30 p.m., reinforcing the formative and commemorative nature of the event.

The Copa Pacífica Centenario Universidad de Guadalajara will be a key stage for Chivas to continue fine-tuning details, evaluating variations, and strengthening its collective performance on the road to the start of the 2026 Clausura.
