While many Liga MX clubs have already announced major signings for the 2021 Apertura campaign, Chivas have yet to announce anything big.
Pavel Pérez and Christian Pinzón have been officially signed to two-way deals, which means they can play for both Chivas and Tapatío.
However, Chivas have yet to register any transfer activity beyond that, which have caused many to doubt whether Chivas could bring back Rodolfo Pizarro this summer.
The intention to return to Mexico reportedly comes from Pizarro himself, who will have no shortage of suitors should his heart be completely set on a Liga MX comeback.
Pizarro, who is currently at Inter Miami, only has one year remaining on his deal, would still require a significant transfer fee and a sizable salary, meaning the deal will almost certainly not go through.
Chivas are currently indebted to both Necaxa and Santos Laguna for the transfers made at the end of 2019.
