Christian Pulisic played on after sustaining a microfracture as the United States lost 1-4 to Belgium in the World Cup last 16.
He appeared to be hurt in the 52nd minute when his kick struck Youri Tielemans’ calf, yet he stayed on until the 59th. The US team said in a post that scans showed a bone bruise and a microfracture of the right tibia/fibula.

The AC Milan forward will be sidelined for several weeks.
He should be able to resume training before Serie A restarts on 23 August in Turin for Milan.
The match was played on Tuesday.
