Winger George Chubinidze is setting the standards at Dorchester Town during his loan from AFC Bournemouth, impressing since arriving in March. As reported by Bournemouth Echo, the Georgian youth international has quickly become one of the Magpies' most exciting players.
Recalled by the Cherries' development side on a couple of occasions, he missed Berkhamsted on Good Friday. On Easter Monday he was among Dorchester's best in the 0-0 draw with Weymouth, a constant menace down the right, and tracked back diligently against Matty Burrows and Harry Hutchinson.
On another occasion he was limited to a late substitute outing against Walton & Hersham after playing for Bournemouth the previous night, yet still scored against the division's leading side. He has seven Southern League appearances for Dorchester and three goals.
Manager Wes Fogden has lauded his work without the ball, saying the youngster sets the benchmark for work rate and application, keeps grafting when the ball will not fall for him, and harries defenders every game.
Fogden added that, for someone so young, his levels and commitment stand out, and that while some loanees may not give everything, Chubinidze has been a credit to Bournemouth and has performed really well for Dorchester.
The manager is hopeful of benefiting from the winger's talent for the rest of the campaign. Chubinidze could be vital to the Magpies' survival push and is expected to start again when Gloucester City, second in the table, visit The Avenue Stadium this weekend.
