After entering the match as a second-half substitute, Samuel Chukwueze proved decisive in Fulham's narrow victory over Sunderland. The AC Milan loanee, introduced in the 64th minute, immediately imposed himself on the right flank before delivering the game-winning contribution six minutes from time.
With precise technique, he curved a perfectly measured cross into the path of Raúl Jiménez, who converted the solitary goal of the contest. Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood praised the vision and execution, noting, "I don't see the pass but Chukwueze did… he curled the ball beautifully in behind the defence for Jimenez to finish."
Though still awaiting his first Premier League start, the Nigerian winger is gradually adapting to English football, having provided two assists in his limited seven appearances totaling just over two hours of play.
