Ciro Immobile, 36, delivered his best display since joining in late January as Paris FC beat Le Havre 3-2 on Sunday, scoring his first goal for the club.

According to L'Équipe, the display could prove a turning point in his Paris stint. The former Italy forward has 57 caps and 17 goals, and is under contract until June 2027.

Making his sixth appearance, the Lazio great, the club's all-time top scorer with 207 in 340, looked more at ease. He fashioned a chance for Moses Simon in the 32nd minute, competed well aerially and protected the ball better.

His goal came from close range after compatriot Diego Coppola headed down a cross. He also rattled the bar in the 45th minute plus five and nodded another chance wide, a miss that drew some gentle teasing from his coach.

Captain Pierre Lees-Melou felt one move captured the full skillset of a centre-forward and said the squad had not been worried, noting that one goal sets strikers off.

Antoine Kombouaré said he had asked how the header was put wide, but was delighted for Immobile. He added the goal will free him and boost confidence, praising sharper duels and improved ball retention as signs of growing belief.

Immobile said hitting the net felt special and he had waited for it since arriving in Paris. He admitted it is tough for a striker to go without scoring, but experience helps him stay calm and know the goal would come.
