Thanks for joining us for tonight's EFL Cup third round coverage.
FULL TIME: Port Vale 0-2 Arsenal
Arsenal were in control throughout this evening. An early Eze goal and Trossard's late strike give the Gunners a confident EFL Cup win over Port Vale.
GOAL ARSENAL
The Gunners get their second of the evening with just a few minutes left to play. Substitute Leandro Trossard applies the finish from William Saliba's long pass to wrap up the win for Arsenal.
FULL TIME: Newcastle 4-1 Bradford
Newcastle were dominant and could have had more goals throughout. Bradford got their moment to cheer through a fantastic Andy Cook goal.
FULL TIME: Tottenham 3-0 Doncaster
It's a comfortable win for Spurs. Donny had their moments but Thomas Frank's side found the moments of quality to progress to the next round.
GOAL TOTTENHAM
An injury-time third for Spurs as Brennan Johnson fires high into the net.
FULL TIME: Huddersfield 0-2 Man City
Foden and Savinho get the vital goals to get the job done and send City into the pot.
OFF THE POST!
Huddersfield fly forward with intent and Cameron Ashia thumps an unstoppable shot from distance towards the corner, but it cannons off the inside of the post.
GOAL NEWCASTLE
The Toon restore their three-goal advantage as Harvey Barnes whips a cross to Osula, who taps in for his second of the evening.
A special goal for Bradford's Cook at St James' Park earlier.
Port Vale's Mitchell Clark causes an issues for Kepa Arrizabalaga with a looping cross. The goalkeeper isn't quite sure of his footing but manages to clutch the ball and avoid disaster.
Some interesting subs for City here. Emile Heskey's two sons, Jaden and Reigan, enter the action. There's also a comeback appearance for Kalvin Phillips, who's warmly received by the visiting supporters.
GOAL BRADFORD!
A slim lifeline for the visitors as sub Andy Cook lashes in an excellent strike in off the underside of the bar.
A positive start to the campaign for Foden.
GOAL NEWCASTLE
Joelinton gets on the scoresheet again with an expert first touch and deadly finish to surely send Newcastle into the fourth round.
CHANCE DONCASTER!
Down in London, Glenn Middleton almost finds the net with a whipped free-kick that glances past the post.
GOAL MAN CITY!
The visitors finally get the breakthrough and seal a second goal. Savinho finishes a patient City move with a powerful strike into the roof of the net from Foden's assist.
BIG MISS TOTTENHAM
A low ball into the box falls perfectly for Tel to drill into the net. He misses completely and it's a let-off for Doncaster.
CHANCE CITY
City keep flying forward in search of a decisive second goal and Bobb is next to test Nichols with a low drive, but it's saved comfortably.

It's Mukasa once again who appears desperate for a debut goal whose close-range attempt is kept out by Nichols.
SECOND HALF
Port Vale vs Arsenal is back underway for the second period.

Bobby Pointon picks out Stephen Humphrys inside the area and his header is straight at Aaron Ramsdale. A big chance!
GREAT SAVE!
Nico O'Reilly tries to dink a finish over Lee Nichols, but the Huddersfield stopper stands his ground and swats away the attempt. Top agile goalkeeping.
CHANCE NEWCASTLE
Anthony Gordon has been lively all evening at St James' Park and tries to get on the scoresheet with shot from inside the area that forces Sam Walker into a strong save.
CHANCE MAN CITY
City work the ball well into the box and Divine Mukasa's shot is blocked well by the Huddersfield defence.
SECOND HALF
The three early games resume after the break.
HALF TIME: Port Vale 0-1 Arsenal
Eze's first Arsenal goal is the difference at half time. The Gunners have had plenty of chances and could be well clear at Vale Park.
The top-flight sides have notched first-half leads in the EFL Cup. Will they hold on and advance to the fourth round?
CHANCE ARSENAL
Eze looks really up for this one and almost bags a second goal of the evening. He gets past the Port Vale backline, goes one on one with Joe Gauci but the goalkeeper comes out on top.
HALF TIME: Newcastle 2-0 Bradford
Joelinton and William Osula produce a composed finish to get the Magpies' EFL Cup title defence up and running after 45 minutes.
HALF TIME: Tottenham 2-0 Doncaster
João Palhinha's overhead kick and a Donny own goal give Spurs a comfortable first half lead. The visitors did hit the post late in the half through Bailey's fantastic volley.
HALF TIME: Huddersfield 0-1 Man City
Foden's well-taken opener mid-way through the first half is the difference in Yorkshire.
OFF THE POST!
Doncaster come so close to pulling a goal back with Owen Bailey volleying towards the corner. It's heading in until Antonín Kinsky gets down to tip onto the post.
Man City are in completel control at Huddersfield right now and Rico Lewis has his head in his hands after whipping a great ball across the goalmouth. No willing City players are there to finish though.
CHANCE TOTTENHAM
Archie Gray weaves some space just inside the area and almost curls into the corner but Doncaster's Ian Lawlor tips to safety.
GOAL ARSENAL!
Eberechi Eze opens the scoring for Arsenal after just eight minutes as Gabriel Martinelli picks out the Gunners' new boy, who slides in to finish his first-ever goal for his new club.
GOAL NEWCASTLE
Bruno Guimaraes' inch-perfect pass picks out William Osuala, who controls and fires into the net.
GOAL MANY CITY!
Phil Foden gets Man City off the mark with an excellent shimmy into the area and tidy finish into the corner.
GOAL TOTTENHAM!
An unfortunate touch from Doncaster's Jay McGrath diverts a low cross into the net. Spurs lead 2-0!
GOAL NEWCASTLE!
The EFL Cup holders leader as Joelinton's composed side-foot finish finds the bottomt corner.
GOAL TOTTENHAM!
Spurs take the lead through Joao Palhinha, who unleashes a wonderful overhead kick from a loose ball inside the area. A cracking finish from the midifielder!

Port Vale and Arsenal also get started.

Damola Ajayi picks out Toyosi Olusanya inside the area, whose header drifts just wide. A let off for Spurs there!
Man City try to get things going as Oscar Bobb goes on a mazy run into the Huddersfield area, racing past three defenders before his shot is blocked.

Spurs look to make a bright start and Mathys Tel curls over from Brennan Johnson's cross.
Oooh, James Trafford takes his time to gather a loose ball just inside the area. Huddersfield appeal for a handball outside the box, but it's a tame shout!
KICK OFF
The first three EFL Cup games get underway.
The Toon will be dreaming of another strong EFL Cup outing this term. Eddie Howe led his side to their first major domestic trophy in 70 years last season.
Newcastle's summer signing makes his debut at St James' Park.
City begin their pursuit of a first EFL Cup title since 2020/21 this evening.
Thomas Frank addresses his squad rotation tonight and reveals where Xavi Simons will slot into the starting lineup.
In the slightly later kick-off, Arsenal travel to Port Vale and Mikel Arteta has handed the captain's armband to the returning Bukayo Saka.
And EFL Cup title holders Newcastle begin their title defence at St James' Park. Eddie Howe has also rung in the changes after a 0-0 draw at Bournemouth on Sunday, with seven alterations.
Tottenham host League One Doncaster in North London, where Thomas Frank has made seven changes.
